Mr. Cogswell served with the United States Marine Corps from 2001 until 2008. He has a background as an entrepreneur and has launched numerous successful endeavors. He formed Operation Build Up in 2016 after he saw a need to fill the void between actual available assistance to struggling veterans and the public perception of assistance to veterans. It is his belief that if our veterans were given the necessary resources to create stable civilian lives for themselves than they would, as a result we would see a large decrease in the number of homeless veterans and suicides. By offering a streamlined process for real assistance when they need it the most, we are able to witness an immediate impact on their lives.. He is a strong believer that a spec of light can illuminate the darkest places.
